Première fois dans ce salon et je suis tres satisfaite du résultat final. La coiffure n'est pas trop lourde ou trop grosse sur la tête. Elles ont fait attention de ne pas trop tirer en raison de ma sensibilité au cuir chevelu. Thank you!

The most insane & unreal experience at this joke of a ‘business’! I call ahead and ask if I can return a product that the lady had recommended. She immediately begins to give me attitude over the phone, (she has long black braids) I then politely let her know if she continues to treat customers this way, they will not be back. She rudely replies “whatever I’m not gonna argue with you, come get your $16 refund” verbatim. I said ok I’ll be there in a couple minutes, she hangs up half way.
I show up then her manager begins refusing a refund, I said why even bother saying that because
1) you’ve wasted my time driving here
2) you’re deceiving your customers
3) on top of being disrespectful with the tone and choice of words being used.
Her manager then admits that the product must have a manufacturer defect yet she is still refusing to provide a refund and now this falls on the customer. This product was literally water in a bottle! She then recommends another product, in which I read and refused because it is not specific to what I needed. (Which is the reason why I didn’t buy it yesterday). I politely continued to ask the manager questions about the product if it would work for me considering the label was vague YET her recommendation.
She looks at me and aggressively says “ I don’t know, can’t you read it yourself? I actually don’t know anything about this product.” But you’re recommending it? And a manager?
The lady I spoke to on the phone (long black braids) then begins screaming, running, and causing a scene around the store WHILE she was doing a customers hair AND while there are other customers in the facility while the manager is also screaming at us.
She screams “NO REFUNDS NO REFUNDS CANT YOU READ!!” I said, that’s WHY I called and asked if there could be any exception in which she agreed initially.
Meanwhile her manager continues to speak aggressively and refused to provide any type of customer service other than screaming back at us and making extremely unnecessary remarks such as “ok but did she FORCE you to buy this product? DID SHE?” Is this how you speak to customers?
Her manager then offers I can take any other product on the shelves, i explained I had come in for a very specific product and the products in the store weren’t targeted to what I needed! Which is why I called and inquired for the refund! I told them I’ll leave the completely full product I brought in on the counter because I didn’t want it. It costed 18 for water in a bottle!
The lady I spoke to on the phone with the long black braids then starts screaming once again saying “throw out the product and dump it on the floor outside!!! Dump it out!!” At the top of her lungs in front of all us customers (and while she is doing a customers hair).
I came to this store to specifically support a black owned business, (because I love to shop & support black local business) and all the black owned supply stores I go to in Toronto are absolutely amazing and all offer returns/exchanges and great customer service). But with the way yall acted it really made me regret this one.
I also explained that any other beauty supply store does indeed offer returns/exchanges as I know this growing up in edmonton and owning a health/beauty business as well. The manager replies “well that’s a big company, go there then! I’m a small business! It costs me money to refund!” As a fellow small business owner, it will cost you more money disrespecting & losing your customers than a $2 refund charge ever will. Learn how to run a proper and successful business and that will begin with learning how to control your mouth when you speak to the people supporting your business. You’re shooting yourself in the foot when you begin disrespecting your customers because they are willing to give you their hard earned money.
We went to another beauty supply store and told them about this experience and they said it wasn’t the first they’ve heard them and they have a terrible reputation! Do yourself a favor and choose ANY other supply store other than this one.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this salon and the lovely women that run it! Sherene was my braider and she was so accommodating fitting me in short notice. The atmosphere is so welcoming and these ladies are so personable. My braids made me look fabulous for vacation thanks to Sherene. I will be booking another appointment soon. I highly recommend this salon!

I brought my daughter to get her braids done for the holidays and Sherene was her braider…she did a great job. My daughter was happy with her hair and we will highly recommend her services any time.

I don't know why people are so Rude and Ignorant to the Staff ? If you have an appointment then make it on time and stick to what you booked. If your late going to your appointment and they tell you that you will have to wait then Suck it up and wait. It's not their fault you can't tell time.
I have always had a Great experience here and will continue to support. Mind you I have always made my appointments on time and stuck to what I booked?
Don't expect the Red Carpet when your dragging your Ass thinking your the only one with an appointment Stop being Rude cause your Bored and want others to not support because of your own doings.

I've been getting my hair done for a while now.hair palace beauty and every time I have had a great experience at this hair salon. Sherene and Miriam are very welcoming, available to customers. This is one of the best afro african salons in Edmonton and I recommend it 100%.

I’ve been going here to get my hair braided for years. They do amazing work, are super friendly, and have a large array of braiding hair, wigs, skin and hair products. They also do kids’ hair and I get my kids’ hair products there.

Love love love love. Zero complaints about this place. I’ve been going here for 4 years now with no intentions of stopping. Genuine laughs and smiles whenever I am here & the hair always comes out an 11/10. Highly recommend checking them out if u havnt already.
